Glastonbury

The largest Greenfield festival in the world, Glastonbury Festival is a five-day festival of contemporary performing arts, which attracts more than 200,000 people. Event Bars is responsible for a number of backstage and public bars across the festival site serving well over 250,000 people over the course of the festival.

Our bars include the famous Ridge & Furrow and Open Arms as well as the West Holts Backstage bar and venue. As well as the running of each bar, we are responsible for the design and look of each venue and programme and coordinate the musical line up of live bands, acts and DJs across the five days.

In addition, Event Bars manages a quarter of the market trader areas, providing vital support and assistance to nearly 400 traders, vendors and caterers. This has enabled us to develop great and lasting relationships with a large number of these traders over a number of years, which puts us in a fantastic position to manage other market areas at other events and festivals.

Banksy’s Dismaland

Dismaland was a temporary art project organised by street artist Banksy, constructed in the seaside resort town of Weston-super-Mare. This was a highly confidential client brief to run all bars on site for this high-profile event. This required a deep attention to detail and high level of client demand. In keeping with the theme of the event, all of the bars and staff had to have a particular look, feel and atmosphere.

The event was open for 36 days, with 4,000 tickets available for purchase per day. It brought in 150,000 visitors from around the world due to the event’s presence in the public eye and media, which was further increased with the music events scheduled over the weekends by the event’s management team. This included performances by Run The Jewels, De La Soul, Damon Albarn, Pussy Riot, Massive Attack, Kate Tempest and Sleaford Mods.

Tramlines

Tramlines is a multi-arena, inner-city music festival held annually in Sheffield with over 70,000 attendees across the three days of the event. Event Bars has run the bars at this event for the last 3 years covering the two main two arenas of Ponderosa and Devonshire Green, as well as at the smaller Peace Gardens with almost 200 members of staff on site.

Like a number of the urban events and pop-up bars we undertake, this is a challenging temporary environment that has a variety of demands including tight build and break schedules, limited access times, and a high level of demand from a number of different stakeholders. Our involvement here now extends to the management of the trader areas.

Erdinger

We have worked on a number of projects and briefs for Erdinger, on both the brand activation and production side of requirements.  This has included the build and management of their Chalet at a number of UK locations including the F1 GP and MotoGP at Silverstone and the British Street Food awards, as well as the build of their bar for the month-long Oktoberfest celebration this year on the Greenwich Peninsular.
These on-going corporate projects are a reflection of the work we have carried out time and again for clients, such as Brewdog, Erdinger and Brooklyn Brewery, to deliver bars at a variety of inner-city and unique locations.

Tokyo World

Tokyo World is a festival held in Bristol annually at the end of September. The site encompasses five fields of music featuring over 100 artists across the weekend. Event Bars is responsible for the delivery and management of all 10 bars on site, catering for 20,000 attendees.

The brief sees the Event Bars team deliver the build and management of the bars, providing a variety of draught and canned drinks, including beer, ciders, wine and spirits whilst also managing 150+ members of staff. Our experience in managing this sort of green-field event means that our site team are able to work independently, without burdening client production teams with unnecessary issues to add to their schedule.

Grillstock

Walthamstow, Manchester & Bristol

Grillstock is a weekend-long celebration of the finest barbecue food the country has to offer, along with an equally impressive soundtrack of live music. Historically they have had events in London, Manchester and Bristol, each with over 15,000 attendees. Event Bars has filled the brief to provide multiple bars at each festival, managing a variety of branded and themed bars.
Working with multiple brands, clients and sponsors including Budvar, Jim Beam, Orchard Pig and Tito’s Vodka we have provided a unique client brand activation at this high-profile event.
